Longhorns Bounce Back With 18-3 Run Rule Win Over Texas Southern: Live Game Log
The Texas Longhorns (27-15, 8-7) are back in action on Tuesday night as they wrap up a five-game home stand against the Texas Southern Tigers (24-15), looking to get back in the win column.
Midweek games are far from season defining, especially this late in the season, but Texas' matchup against the Tigers could be a prime opportunity for the Longhorns to right the ship, so to speak, after their showing against Oklahoma.
There is no way to sugarcoat how ugly of a showing the Longhorns put on against the Sooners, with the sweep knocking them out of both first place in the Big 12 and the top 25.
Luckily for the Longhorns, though, there are still 14 regular season games left with nine of those being conference games. If they can get hot once again for the home stretch they very well could play themselves right back into another conference championship.
Now, though, they turn their attention to the Tigers who come to Austin looking for a marquee upset win and to hand Texas its fourth straight loss at home.
