Arch Manning Donates Over $100K To Charity Thanks To NIL Deal
Texas quarterback Arch Manning is arguably one of the most famous athletes in college sports, and he has yet to play a down of college football.
He hails from the illustrious Manning family that produced three NFL quarterbacks and is expected to follow in his uncle's and grandpa's footsteps. While he hasn't yet seen the field for the Longhorns who are fresh off their first loss of the year against Oklahoma, he has made an impact in the community.
As a part of an NIL deal with Panini America that was able to auction off a card of Manning, the former five-star donated all of the proceeds from the sale to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Not only is the act noble, but it was also a lucrative donation, as Manning's card sold for a whopping $102,500.
For those not familiar, The Ronald McDonald House provides housing and other forms of support for families with children in Central Texas Hospitals. Manning revealed in a speech on Tuesday, that his biggest priority when signing his NIL deal was that the money went to a good cause.
“When I first partnered with Panini to auction off my trading card, I wanted the money to go to a good cause,” Manning said. “Helping children live healthy and fulfilling lives was important to me and my family. With that being said, I’m donating 100% of the proceeds from my trading card to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas.”
According to On3's NIL Valuation, Manning ranks as the No. 4 most valuable player in college athletics and ranks as the No. 2 most valuable athlete in college football.
