WATCH: Longhorns LB DeMarvion Overshown Raising Draft Stock at Senior Bowl Practices
While the Texas Longhorns didn't have anyone drafted in last year's NFL draft, they are poised to have multiple people drafted this year.
Of course, running back Bijan Robinson will headline their draft class as a likely first-round talent, but there will be guys drafted in the later rounds that will bring a lot to the table for whichever team drafts them.
One of those players is linebacker DeMarvion Overshown, who is impressing scouts at the Senior Bowl practices.
In his final season at Texas, Overshown anchored a vastly improved Longhorns defense. He recorded 96 total tackles, including 10 tackles for loss and four sacks, with five pass deflections showing that he can play the run and drop back into coverage if needed.
Overshown entered the week projected in most mock drafts to go in the later rounds, however, his performance in both the practices and the game on Saturday could see him play his way into the second round.
The former Longhorn will suit up for the National team at the Senior Bowl on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 1:30 p.m. CT.
