IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 Conference announced the 2020 league football schedule on Tuesday morning. The announcement completes Texas’ 2020 slate, as the three non-conference games were previously announced.

The conference schedule begins on the road for the first time since 2017 when UT visits Kansas State on Oct. 3. The Longhorns will also travel to Texas Tech (Oct. 24), Kansas (Nov. 7) and Oklahoma State (Nov. 28) during Big 12 play. The game against the Cowboys will mark the first time in school history that Texas closes the regular season against Oklahoma State.

Texas will host four Big 12 opponents at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, beginning with West Virginia on Oct. 17. That game will mark the latest date for a conference home opener since 2008 when Texas hosted Missouri on Oct. 18. The Longhorns will also square off with Baylor (Oct. 31), TCU (Nov. 14) and Iowa State (Nov. 21) in Austin next season.

The 2020 AT&T Red River Showdown versus Oklahoma at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas is set for Oct. 10.

The 2020 Big 12 Football Championship Game will again be contested at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, and is set for a Dec. 5 kickoff.

Texas begins its 128th season of college football on Sept. 5 when the Longhorns host South Florida at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium. The next week, UT will make the trek 430 miles east to Baton Rouge, La., where the Horns will take on LSU in the return matchup of a home-and-home series against the Tigers. Texas wraps up the non-conference portion of its 2020 schedule on Sept. 19 with a matchup against UTEP in Austin.

Note: Dates of conference games are subject to change as potential adjustments are possible to accommodate television partners' requests.
