Texas released its depth chart ahead of this week's game against No. 16 Kansas State.

The Longhorns have a few minor changes, mostly involving players returning from injury.

The most notable difference in this week's listings is at running back, where Jordan Whittington makes his debut on the chart at No. 3 behind Keantay Ingram and Roschon Johnson.

Whittington has been out all year with a sports hernia injury but has been cleared to practice all week. He is expected to make his debut and be part of a by-committee system at tailback for the rest of the season. The former Cuero High School star could also be featured in two-back sets and as a flanker in some situations as he has experience playing receiver in high school.

On defense, Caden Sterns returns to the top of the chart at safety over DeMarvion Overshown. Sterns has been out since a knee ligament injury suffered against Oklahoma State.

Overshown is currently listed as an "or" with Montrell Estell, who made two starts in the secondary earlier this season. Brandon Jones is the other full-time safety as expected and B.J. Foster is penciled in at nickel.

Chris Naggar will take over punting duties after staring punter Ryan Bujcevski suffered a broken clavicle against TCU. He will also serve as the holder for extra point and field goal tries according to the chart.

Texas and Kansas State kick off at 2:30 p.m. at DKR Memorial Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPN.
