Texas football stayed right where it was in the AP poll, picked at No. 11 this week by the Associated Press voters.

The Longhorns are 3-1 on the season with a loss to LSU, currently ranked No. 5 in the country in the poll.

Texas had some chances to move up with both Wisconsin and Clemson engaged in tough contests with Northwestern and North Carlina, but neither underdog was quite able to pull off the upset.

The Longhorns' strength of schedule got a boost with Oklahoma State jumping into the rankings for the first time this year thanks to a victory over previously No. 24 Kansas State.

Oklahoma is the other Big 12 school in the poll, coming in at No. 6. The Sooners and Longhorns will meet in two weeks in the Red River Rivalry game. A win over Oklahoma would probably be enough to vault the Longhorns back into the top 10.
