Texas football: Longhorns up one spot in Amway Coaches Poll
Longhorns move to No. 11 ahead of massive Red River Showdown

The Texas Longhorns are on the verge of returning to the top 10 in both the AP and Amway Coaches Poll, coming in at No. 11 in both rankings.
Texas disposed of West Virginia on the road in a 45-31 victory over the Mountaineers. They jumped up one spot in the coaches poll, passing Auburn. The Tigers fell to No. 12 after a loss to Florida on Saturday.
Texas is still very much in the College Football Playoff conversation despite an early-season loss to LSU. It will get a chance to properly jump back into contention this week when the Longhorns travel to Dallas to take on rival Oklahoma in the annual Red River Showdown.
