ESPN Analyst Picks Texas Over Alabama, Rips Jalen Milroe
Every fan of college football has a No. 11 Texas Longhorns matchup against No. 3 Alabama Crimson Tide circled and is expecting a great game.
Who they think to win that game is likely a different story, but we learned on Friday who ESPN analyst Dan Orlovosky has tabbed to win the game. The rematch of last season is taking place in Tuscaloosa, which is where College GameDay will be, and on Friday is where The Pat McAfee Show was stationed.
Keeping in mind that McAfee and company were on campus at Alabama, Orlovsky not only picked Texas to win the game but also questioned how good Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe is.
Orlovsky picked the Longhorns because he isn't confident with Milroe's ability to throw, going as far as to say that Milroe isn't a dual threat because he isn't a talented enough thrower. He also made sure to explain that if he was Texas he would constantly blitz because he doesn't think Alabama's running backs are capable blockers.
As you can imagine the Crimson Tide fans were not thrilled with his choice, nor were they fans of his analysis of their quarterback and their offense's deficiencies. This led to a widespread chant of "Dan You Suck" to flood through the set.
Despite having the nod of approval from Orlovsky, Texas comes into the game as a seven-point underdog, and according to ESPN's FPI only has a 19% chance of winning this game.
If Texas were to win this game it would be a program-changing win, but if they were to lose it would raise concerns for many who believed that this was their year.
