AUSTIN -- The Texas Longhorns are adding their fifth commitment to the class of 2025 ahead of the Orange-White Spring Game in two weeks.

Texas has landed a pledge from 2025 Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX) running back Rickey Stewart, he announced on social media Saturday.

"We home!" Stewart wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

The Longhorns now add Stewart to a 2025 recruiting class that already includes the likes of ATH Lance Jackson, TE Emaree Winston, QB KJ Lacey, and DL Brandon Brown.

Stewart, who stands at 5-10, 180, fielded offers from programs like Baylor, SMU, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Oregon and many more. He visited Austin during Texas Junior Day this past January and has an official visit scheduled for June 14, per 247Sports' recruiting timeline.

Since the 2021 season, Stewart has been dominant on the ground. He's posted back-to-back 2,000-yard rushing seasons, which was highlighted by a whopping 40 rushing touchdowns this past season. He's tallied 630 rushes for 6,098 rushing yards and 64 touchdowns along with 28 catches for 400 yards and four more scores.
