Texas defensive lineman Tiaoalii Savea is reportedly entering the NCAA transfer portal, per AP Sports Agency.

Savea is no rookie to the portal, transferring to Texas from Arizona in the spring of 2024 and previously transferring from UCLA.

At Arizona, Savea played in 19 games in addition to 10 at UCLA. He tallied 36 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, three pressures, one fumble recovery, and one blocked kick in two seasons with the Wildcats and was selected to the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Watch List in 2023.

Savea helped Arizona upset his former team with a blocked field goal attempt, as well as recording a season-high three tackles in that game.

Since getting to Texas in the spring, Savea played in four games against Colorado State, ULM, UTSA and Florida, and recorded a total of three tackles, two solo and one assisted and one tackle for loss. He was named to the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Watch List again this year.

Savea was an All-America and all-state honoree at Desert Pines High School in Las Vegas and was selected to compete in the 2021 Under Armour All-America Game and the 2021 Polynesian Bowl. He was a four-star recruit in his class, ranked No. 125 on the ESPN 300 list and the No. 9 defensive tackle, the No. 16 strongside defensive end by Rivals and a top-10 prospect in the state of Nevada by ESPN at No. 1, 247Sports at No. 3 and Rivals at No. 4.
