Texas Longhorns QB Quinn Ewers Dedicates Big 12 Championship to 'Bevo's Cousin'

The Texas Longhorns won their first Big 12 title since 2009 with a victory over the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

This past weekend has unequivocally been the biggest and most successful weekend of Texas football since Colt McCoy was throwing passes to his roommate Jordan Shipley.

Led by a record-breaking performance from starting quarterback Quinn Ewers that saw him throw for four touchdowns in the first half alone, and total 452 yards passing yards, the Longhorns won their first Big 12 title since 2009.

They absolutely dismantled the Oklahoma State Cowboys winning by a score of 49-21, and in the process punched their ticket into the College Football Playoff setting up a rematch of sorts with the Washington Huskies.

However, while Ewers' performance on the field may have been the best of his college career, his social media showing after the game also falls under the elite category.

The day prior to the game, there was a Longhorn carcass found on the lawn of an Oklahoma State fraternity as some sort of "prank". College football fans on social media took notice, and clearly so did Ewers.

The Longhorn quarterback took to Instagram to post pictures of him celebrating the win with the caption "For Bevo's cousin" referencing the deceased Longhorn.

According to reports about what actions are being taken against as a result of the so-called prank, KOCO News 5 reported that Oklahoma State University officials have begun an investigation.

As for the Texas football Longhorns, they now have their sights set on their December 1 matchup in the Allstate Sugar Bowl against No. 2 Washington which should be quite the shootout.
