Longhorns RB Roschon Johnson Reveals Team He Sees as NFL Draft Fit

Roschon Johnson, who spent the last two years as the primary back up for Bijan Robinson, is a force to be reckoned with in his own right as he prepares for the draft at the NFL Scouting Combine.
In this story:

Bijan Robinson is not the only Texas Longhorns running back making a name for himself ahead of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Roschon Johnson, who spent the last two years as the primary back up for Robinson, is a force to be reckoned with in his own right.

On Saturday at the NFL Scouting Combine, Johnson confirmed that he has held formal interviews with at least two teams — the Philadelphia Eagles and the Atlanta Falcons.

And Johnson seemed particularly interested in what the Eagles had to offer.

“Definitely Philly,” Johnson said of the teams who he thought he fit best with. “Just that O-line they have, their running style, that would definitely fit me. But a lot teams across the board I feel like could use my capabilities and my skill set. To better their team as a whole.”

Still, Johnson is just enjoying the process, and is not concerned about proving himself on the field to any one team.

Rather, he is focused on proving what he can do to himself, as he works toward achieving his ultimate goal of playing in the NFL.

“I’m not trying to prove anything to anyone else here,” Johnson said. “I Just want to prove to myself that I can do this.”

If his time and production at Texas are any indication, he will do just that.
