AUSTIN, Texas -- A 38-6 win for the No. 3 Texas Longhorns over the Baylor Bears in Waco on Saturday might best be represented by the big hit that freshman running back Tre Wisner had on a kickoff in the third quarter.

With Texas already up by 32, the energy in McLane Stadium had started to fade as Baylor fans left early and students slowly filed back to their dorms. But Wisner brought the many Longhorn fans in attendance back to a roar with the tackle he had on Bears returner Jordan Nabors.

As a result, Texas fans went wild with excitement on X (formerly Twitter)

Here's the hit and some of the best reactions to Wisner's play:

Tre Wisner, my goodness!

"In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit!"

"Tre Wisner my gosh what a hit"

"I said Tre Wisner was my darkhorse offensive player frim the 2023 class. I got the role wrong but I was right on Tre. Dude busts heads on STs. Keep working, young man!"

Wisner has now made two total tackles this season, as he had his first-career tackle in the season-opening win over Rice.

A 5'-11, 180-pound running back from DeSoto, Texas, Wisner was a highly sought after recruit, holding offers from a plethora of schools, including Oklahoma, Arkansas, Auburn and others. But the three-star talent

One look at Wisner's stats and it is easy to see why he is a coveted four star recruit, as his numbers jump off the page. In his 2021 high school season, Wisner received 77 carries which he took for 909 yards and 12 touchdowns, while hauling in 18 receptions with 241 receiving yards and a touchdown.

The Longhorns will be looking for more of this energy on special teams in Saturday's meeting with the Kansas Jayhawks in Austin.
