Longhorns vs. Cowboys Week 3: How to Watch, Betting Odds
So far so good for the undefeated No. 4 Texas Longhorns. After silencing Alabama's 21-home game winning streak on Saturday, the Longhorns are ready to continue to prove their newly-found confidence as a team, and this starts in Week 3 against the Wyoming Cowboys at DKR Stadium.
Texas fans are craving a Big 12 Championship before shifting over to the SEC next season. However, that does not mean looking too far ahead and losing sight of weekly opponents.
The Wyoming Cowboys are undefeated so far this season as well. After nearly defeating the Texas Tech Red Raiders in double overtime (35-33) with a two-point conversion that sealed the deal, the Cowboys had more wiggle room against Portland State in Week 2 (31-17).
While the Texas vs. Wyoming matchup may seem more favorable to the burnt orange side of the field, especially after a monstrous win over the previous #3 Crimson Tide, it is not to take the Cowboys completely off of the table. Upsets happen, teams have bad games and eyes on the prize can be distracting.
Overall, the Longhorns currently hold a five-game winning streak against the Cowboys since 1974. In their last meeting in 2012, Texas defeated Wyoming 37-17.
