The Texas Longhorns are set to play in their first-ever Sugar Bowl on Jan. 1 against the Washington Huskies. There is not much to complain about on the Huskies' side of the football as they are 13-0 the entire season, but what could prove most dangerous to the Longhorns in the bowl game is Washington's receiver trio.

Even mid-season, ESPN College GameDay analyst Desmond Howard mentioned how impressed he is with Washington's receivers.

"I believe that Washington has the best trio of receivers in the country, hands down," Howard said. "It's not even close. They each bring something different and unique to the offense and that’s what makes them special."

The three wideouts Howard spoke of mid-season are junior Rome Odunze, sophomore Ja'Lynn Polk, and junior Jalen McMillan. The trio continued to stay at the top of the Huskies' receiver leaderboard all season long.

This season, Odunze has recorded 81 receptions for a total of 1,428 yards. On top of that, he has reached the end zone 13 times. Polk, the second-leading receiver has caught 60 passes for 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns.

Finally, McMillan's stats sheet is not as explosive due to a lower-body injury suffered earlier in the season, but her still has a total of 468 yards off of 34 receptions and has acquired three touchdowns.

Aside from the powerhouse receivers, the Longhorns will need to keep a close eye on tight end Devin Culp who is leading the Huskies' tight end roster with 15 receptions for 194 yards as well as two touchdowns.

The Sugar Bowl will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana at 6:45 p.m. central time.
