After an injury to Quinn Ewers, Maalik Murphy came in and Texas began leaning on the run game and was having great success running it down the Cougars' throat. Freshman running back CJ Baxter powered in his second score of the season from 16 yards out to make the game 31-24, giving Texas the lead again.

The Longhorns find themselves in a similar situation as they did against the Sooners, which is with a lead that they need to protect late in the fourth quarter. The Cougars have been finding success in the passing game all game-long, which could force Texas' offense to score again.
