The No. 8 Texas Longhorns begin the second half of their season on Saturday when they take on the Houston Cougars at TDECU Stadium.

On Friday, Texas revealed its gameday trailer for the contest. The message? That there's something to prove.

Take a look:

Texas (5-1) is coming off a bye week, which gave the team an extra week to soak in the 34-30 loss to the then-No. 12 Oklahoma Sooners on Oct. 7. With six games down, the Longhorns now have six more contests to prove they're still in elite national company, and it all starts against Houston.

"We don't want to hold onto how we felt after the game because it's just one game at the end of the day, but it's a big one," Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers said. "We need to continue chipping away at our next opponents but don't totally forget about what happened."

The Cougars (3-3) are coming off a miracle 41-39 win over West Virginia on Oct. 12, which saw quarterback Donovan Smith somehow connect with receiver Stephon Johnson on a 49-yard Hail Mary touchdown as time expired to give Houston the win.

Speaking of Smith, he's looking for wins over the Longhorns in back-to-back seasons. The former Texas Tech quarterback led the Red Raiders to a 37-34 overtime win over No. 22 Texas last season, as he went 38 of 56 for 331 yards, two touchdowns and no picks. He also added 15 carries for 42 rushing yards and another score.

The Longhorns and Cougars are set for a 3 p.m. CT kickoff.
