WATCH: Texas Longhorns Troll Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark After Texas Tech Win

The Texas Longhorns advanced to the Big 12 title game on Friday after beating Texas Tech.

On Friday evening the No. 7 Texas Longhorns hosted in-state rival and consistent thorn in the side Texas Tech.

The Red Raiders have not had the season they had hoped by any means, as after starting the year as a ranked team and viewed as a potential contender, they just fell to 6-6 with their loss. Texas was laying a beatdown on the Red Raiders to the point where Steve Sarkisian finally felt confident enough to insert freshman quarterback Arch Manning into the game, as they went on to win 57-7,

To make matters a little sweeter, Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark, who declared he'd be cheering for Texas Tech at Big 12 Media Day, was in attendance. The Longhorns didn't forget what their future-former commissioner said, as after the game they replayed the video of his speech.

The video ends with the message "See Y'all In Arlington" as they will now await Saturday's games to figure out who they are playing in the Big 12 title game.

The win over Texas Tech not only gets Texas one step closer to making the College Football Playoff, but it is also a sign of the fact that has changed in a major way under Steve Sarkisian. In years past, Texas had the chance to control its destiny but fell flat on its face.

They have clearly exercised those demons, and are trending up at the best possible time as they needed another statement win and the impending move to the SEC is closer than most realize.
