ARLINGTON -- Heisman moment? Not quite, but Texas Longhorns defensive tackle and Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year T'Vondre Sweat had one of the best plays of his season in the first half of Saturday's Big 12 title game against the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Arlington ... but it didn't happen on defense.

On 1st and goal from the two-yard line, Sweat lined up as a tight end outside the right tackle and leaked out free for a two-yard score to give him his first-career collegiate touchdown and the Longhorns a 21-7 lead near the end of the first quarter.

Sweat hit the Heisman pose for good measure after the touchdown.

Take a look:

Sweat is arguably the best defensive lineman in the country, so seeing him catch a touchdown in the conference title game wasn't exactly on anyone's Big 12 Championship bingo card.

Texas coach Steve Sarkisian has praised Sweat all season, and seemed to want to reward him with a touchdown on a play that was almost certainly designed for the big man.

“Sweat has got such athleticism for a big man and can impact the game in a variety of ways,” Sarkisian said. “He can rush the passer. He can defend the run and make critical plays on a lot of these fourth-down stops and third-down stops. He gets his hands on the ball when he isn’t able to get into the backfield. He’s got a lot of tipped and batted balls."

The Longhorns found the end zone again on their next drive to make it a 28-7 game.
