BREAKING: Texas Longhorns' Dylan Disu Making Season Debut vs. LSU Tigers

Texas Longhorns vs. LSU Tigers: Preview, Betting Odds, How to Watch

BREAKING: Texas Longhorns forward Dylan Disu (foot) will make his season debut on Saturday against the LSU Tigers at Toyota Center, per college basketball insider Jon Rothstein.

Disu has battled the foot injury since the middle of the Longhorns' Elite Eight run last season. Texas coach Rodney Terry has said that the team would take him along slowly, with December being a target return month for Disu when Terry spoke to the media prior to the start of the season.

No. 19 Texas (7-2) now has a full arsenal in the frontcourt as Big 12 play approaches.

The No. 19 Texas Longhorns are set to take on the LSU Tigers for an out-of-town,  non-conference battle on neutral ground Saturday at the Toyota Center in Houston as part of The Halal Guys Showcase.

Texas (7-2) is coming off of a 77-50 win over Houston Christian on Dec. 9, which followed up the Longhorns' 86-65 blowout loss to Marquette on Dec. 6.

The Longhorns have yet to earn a signature win this season after losing both of their marquee non-conference games. Texas' only win over a Power 6 team this season is the 81-80 buzzer-beating victory over the lowly Louisville Cardinals on Nov. 19, who were just beat at home by Arkansas State by double digits on Wednesday.

Despite its record, LSU (6-4) will hardly be a push over, as the Tigers are looking for an upset in what will be a preview of SEC action potentially next season and beyond, depending on how the schedule works out.

The Tigers topped Alabama State 74-56 on Wednesday, but have had some tight games and tough losses this season. Led by former Longhorn and Austin native Will Baker, the LSU offense hasn't looked up to par in the past few games, squeaking by Southeastern Louisiana 73-66 and getting throttled by Syracuse in an 80-57 loss.

Baker is averaging 13.3 points and 5.1 rebounds while shooting 51.6 percent from the field this season. LSU also has an experienced leader in the backcourt with guard Jordan Wright, who heads into Saturday with averages of 13.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists.
