No. 25 Texas Longhorns vs. Cincinnati Bearcats: Preview, Betting Odds, How to Watch
AUSTIN, Texas -- Coming off a tough conference-opening home loss to the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday, the Texas Longhorns will look to recapture some Big 12 momentun against the first-year member Cincinnati Bearcats on Tuesday night at Fifth Third Arena.
No. 25 Texas (11-3) remained in the AP Top 25 despite the 78-67 loss to Texas Tech and will now have a three-game stretch to find a spark before a gauntlet of ranked teams begins.
"We're gonna continue to work hard defensively and we're still a work in progress and you know, I'll do a better job coaching our guys in getting the urgency that we need to have from a defensive standpoint that we have to have every night in this 12," Texas coach Rodney Terry said.
Cincinnati (12-2) is coming off an impressive 71-60 road win over No. 12 BYU in the first-ever Big 12 game for both teams. The Bearcats are led by forward Viktor Lakhin, who is averaging team-best marks in points (13.9) and rebounds (8.4). Cincinnati also has two double-digit scores in the backcourt, as Dan Skillings Jr. and Day Day Thomas are averaging 11.1 and 10.9 points, respectively.
