BREAKING: Four-Star DL D'Antre Robinson Commits to Texas
The Texas Longhorns' recruiting momentum continued in a big way on Thursday afternoon, with massive Jones (Orlando, FL) defensive lineman D'Antre Robinson committing to the program.
Robinson picked the Longhorns over a host of offers from impressive programs, including Florida, LSU, Ohio State, Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida State, Michigan, Miami, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Tennessee, USC and many more.
“The moment I knew it was Texas, was when I was on my official visit and I was talking to coach Sark with my mom," Robinson told Rivals.com. Coach Sark said some really heartfelt stuff and it really touched my mom's heart, and she really almost teared up and stuff. So that hit home when that happened."
Robinson is now the second big-bodied defensive lineman to commit to the Longhorns this month, alongside Duncanville (TX) defensive lineman Alex January.
And according to Robinson, he will be deployed all over the Longhorns front once he arrives in Austin.
“They love how I can move and play all over the defensive line and say I can play on 3rd down pass plays as well," Robinson told On3. "Texas wants me to play all around the defensive line because it makes me more valuable. I am expected to come in early and play.”
The Longhorns now have 15 commitments in the 2024 class, 13 of which have come since the beginning of June.
