LOOK: Drake OVO Brand Announces Texas Longhorns Limited Release

October's Very Own (OVO), a clothing brand founded by Drake, 40 and Oliver El-Khatib will be releasing limited-edition NCAA gear, and the Texas Longhorns have made the list.

October's Very Own (OVO), a clothing brand founded by Drake, 40 and Oliver El-Khatib will be making its way to college campuses and releasing NCAA products, including some Texas Longhorn gear.

OVO has partnered with multiple professional sporting leagues in the past, including the NBA, NFL and MLB, but now the college sports industry has piqued their interest.

On Wednesday, OVO announced that it would be releasing an NCAA limited-edition collection that features Texas, Kentucky, Alabama, North Carolina and Memphis-themed items. Hats, sweatshirts, shorts and varsity-looking jackets are set to be released on Sept. 29 and will include the OVO owl as well as the team trademark logos. The price of the items has yet to be formally released to the public.

Drake is known for his love of college sports. In September, he even surprised the Texas Longhorns women's basketball roster.

As far as Drake's connections though, he seems to be placing more of an emphasis on college basketball recently and has a strong relationship with Kentucky head coach John Calipari. As far as his Memphis connection goes, Drake received a key to the city earlier this year and utilizes the city to record an abundance of his music videos.

As athletes become more popular because of NIL deals and more publicly viewed from social media platforms, it seems as though more brands are taking advantage of the popularity of college sports programs and athletes.

The Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation, for example, released earlier in September that they would partner with universities such as USC, Kentucky, Oregon and Duke.
