Longhorns Bijan Robinson 'Best RB Prospect in 10+ Years' Says NFL Exec
Texas Longhorns star running back Bijan Robinson heads to the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis this week, looking to cement himself as the Draft's No. 1 overall running back prospect.
However, according to a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz, one NFL executive has taken it a step further, calling Robinson the best running back draft prospect in 10+ years.
“He’s one of the best running back prospects I’ve seen over the past 10+ years," the executive said in Schultz's report. "He changes everything for your offense.”
Not only that, but he also has recently been compared by a handful of NFL experts to arguably the league's best current running back, Saquon Barkley.
And frankly, Robinson has earned that kind of praise, becoming a superstar from the moment he stepped on the field for Texas in 2020.
Last season alone, Robinson rushed 258 times for 1,580 yards and 18 touchdowns, while catching 19 passes for 314 yards and two more scores in 12 games.
In 2021, despite missing the final two games of the season with a dislocated elbow, Robinson was almost as good, carrying the ball 195 times for 1,127 yards and 11 touchdowns, with 26 catches for 295 yards and four touchdowns through the air.
In his career, Robinson averaged 6.3 yards per rush, finishing fourth on the Longhorns' all-time rushing list with 3,410 yards, despite playing in nine fewer games than Earl Campbell (4,443 yards) and 18 fewer games than Cedric Benson (5,540 yards) and Ricky Williams (6,279 Yards).
And while it is unclear who will ultimately draft Robinson this spring, what is clear is that whoever does take him, will get an extremely talented player.
