The Texas Longhorn football program is heavily preoccupied this summer, preparing for elite recruits to take their official visits to the Forty Acres. One of the newest announcements to officially visit Texas came from three-start defensive lineman TJ Lindsey. But what does Lindsey have to offer to the Longhorns?

Out of Arkansas, according to 247Sports, Lindsey is ranked as the No. 42 defensive lineman in the country and the No. 5 overall recruit in the state of Arkansas.

During his time at Bryant High School in Arkansas, Lindsey documented 44 tackles, seven sacks, nineteen quarterback hurries, four tackles for a loss and one pass breakup during his junior season that aided the Hornets to uphold a 12-0 season record and Bryant winning its fourth consecutive Class 7A state championship title.

The 6-foot-4, 275-pound defensive end received over 33 offers to play college ball, including from Arkansas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Georgia and Notre Dame.

An offer by Arkansas was placed on Lindsey in June of last year and he has visited Fayetteville three times knowing that fans would appreciate his in-state talent.

Lindsey recently visited Notre Dame and the Fighting Irish appear to be towards the top of his list when narrowing down his decision. He also took an unofficial visit in March to Texas A&M University where he received a crystal ball prediction to the Aggies soon after arriving on their campus.

Lindsey's will appear in Austin and have his official visit at Texas from June 23-25.
