Next Tyreek Hill? 'In A Perfect World' Xavier Worthy Joins Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs

Texas Longhorns Xavier Worthy's NFL Combine 40 time sends ripples through the league, earning praise from Patrick Mahomes.

Texas Longhorns receiver Xavier Worthy was the star of the NFL Combine last week, breaking the all-time record for the fastest 40-yard dash in the history of the event.

Worthy broke a record previously held by John Ross, that had stood for more than half a decade. And as a result, he has been the talk of the league.

So much so, that he received a congratulatory text from a certain Super Bowl LVIII MVP.

Following his record-breaking run, Worthy got a text from Chiefs superstar QB Patrick Mahomes. Worthy also got texts from former NFL stars Ray Lewis and Desean Jackson. But it was the one from Mahomes that really stood out.

Why? Because Worthy believes that 'in a perfect world' he could end up playing in Kansas City with the game's best QB.

“In a perfect world, I definitely would want to go to the Chiefs,” Worthy told USA Today Sports. “Just the way Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs improvise and use you. They had Tyreek Hill. The way they used him, I feel like that would be a perfect fit for me.”

Speaking of Hill, Worthy is setting his sites even higher than just the combine 40-yard dash record.

Worthy, who had 26 career touchdown receptions and 2,755 receiving yards in his career with the Longhorns, not only thinks he is faster than Hill - who many consider to be the fastest player in the league - but that he will be the NFL's fastest player from the moment his is drafted next month.
