Texas' injury report list grew against Oklahoma State with Marcus Tillman, Jalen Green, Josh Thompson and Caden Sterns all on the sidelines by the end of the game with varying degrees of injuries.

Tillman left the game with a knee injury. Herman confirmed after the game that the senior linebacker had an MCL sprain. Team trainers will further evaluate him to see if he strained his ACL as well.

Josh Thompson left the game with a foot injury, later confirmed to be a fracture in his fifth metatarsal. Herman noted that he will be "out for some time".

Thompson has started at nickel and was in the picture at the cornerback spot as Texas has looked to get more consistent opposite Jalen Green. Texas is hoping a potential return of DeMarvion Overshown could lessen the effect of Thompson's injury.

Caden Sterns came down awkwardly on a pass deflection and according to Herman "his knee is really hurting". The team will get an MRI to determine the extent of the damage this week.

Losing Sterns would obviously be a big blow to the team. he was a Freshman All American last year and had 12 total tackles - 10 solo - against Oklahoma State before leaving the game. Herman is hoping to get B.J. Foster back after the bye to help at the safety spot should Sterns miss any time.

Keondre Coburn and D'Shawn Jamison both came off the field with injuries but returned against Oklahoma State.

If there is any good news on the injury front, it's that Texas has a week off before making its first trip out of the state this season at West Virginia.

"We know we've got to get some guys healthy, get them rested and make sure we know we've got a four-game stretch coming up," Herman said. "We've got to be at our best starting with West Virginia in two weeks."
