UCF National Signing Day

One high school player and college transfers sign with the Knights.

The second National Signing Day was more about the players that have signed with UCF as transfers, but there was one high school prospect that will be playing for Gus Malzahn and the Knights.

Defensive lineman Andrew Rumph played for Palmetto (Fla.) High School just north of Bradenton. He was a prospect that went under the radar for far too long. UCF did well to officially sign him.

Starting off with a big position of need, UCF landed a very talented player that left Clemson to come back to his home state of Florida, Fred Davis.

Staying in the secondary and moving to safety, UCF landed DeJordan Mask from Texas State University.

Another talented safety signed by the Knights would be Jireh Wilson. He came to UCF after playing for East Carolina.

The offensive line was a major focus from the Transfer Portal. It started with this big man, Marcellus Marshall. He came to UCF from Kent State where he was one of the best in the Mid American Conference.

Drake Metcalf came all the way across the country from California to become a Knight. He will be a part of the interior offensive line.

Bula Schmidt came to UCF from Fresno State where he played center. Valuable experience from his days playing out West.

The fourth offensive linemen that signed came to UCF by way of playing for Alabama, Amari Kight. He will be playing offensive tackle.

Another aspect of the offensive line stemmed from the special teams unit and the long snapper, and UCF found its man after he left Arizona State, Gabe King.

Moving to wide receiver, the Knights signed two from the Transfer Portal. Trent Whittemore came to UCF after he played for the University of Florida.

Sticking with wide receiver and a former player from the Southeastern Conference, Chauncey Magwood left Kentucky to become a part of the UCF Knights football program.

Overall, UCF's 2023 recruiting efforts might seem like they've come to a close. That may not be the case.

The Transfer Portal will open up once again in May. When that happens, it's quite likely that UCF will be interested in players that become available once again.
