UCLA Women's Basketball: Charisma Osborne Lands in First Round of New WNBA Mock Draft

The UCLA women's basketball team put together a very successful season this past year, making it to the Sweet Sixteen once again. They fell short of their ultimate goal but showed that they could overcome adversity throughout the year.

While the program will be losing some players, they should still be in good hands for next season. One of the players who will be leaving is guard Charisma Osborne, who will be entering into the WNBA. She has been invited to attend the WNBA Draft next week, but it hasn't been confirmed if she will.

In a new mock draft, Osborne was selected within the first round, heading to the Atlanta Dream with pick No. 12. Osborne would do well with Atlanta, giving them another guard who can defend at a high rate. She was named to the Pac-12 All-Defensive Team twice while with the Bruins.

This past season for the Bruins, Osborne averaged 13.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and four assists per game. She was one of the leaders for this UCLA team and it showed in how she carried herself on and off the court.

While it may take Osborne some time to get adjusted to the changes in the WNBA, she should become a quality player for whichever team drafts her. She has the skillset to make it on the professional stage and just needs the opportunity.
