UCLA Bruins star Charisma Osborne has been on a tear in the 2023 season, helping her team secure an NCAA berth, along with an entrance to the Sweet 16 for the tournament. The senior has been an integral part of the team's success, and she recently delved into her commitment beginnings.
Osborne shared a charming story about Bruins head coach Cori Close, which detailed exactly how Close was able to get Osborne to commit. That story involved the former Windward School standout convincing Close to dance to secure her commitment.
Osborne has now shared that video, as she joined SportsCenter to talk about the current NCAA Tournament and Bruins's success.
While the conversation was surrounded around Osborne and the Bruins going farther in the NCAA Tournament, the conversation shifts to the viral story that she got Coach Close to dance. Naturally, the video was shown.
In the video, Coach Close was doing the viral "In My Feelings" dance from rap supestar Drake. Osborne reveals that if Coach Close did a good version of the dance, she would immediately commit. Thankfully, Close did her homework, and landed Osborne.
Osborne not only has played for the Bruins for five years, but her leadership has meant everything to a team that is trying to acheive the first-ever final four appearnace for UCLA.
