Former UCLA star linebacker, Myles Jack, decided to call it quits in the NFL and is retiring after seven seasons.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport was among the first to report this morning.

After signing with them earlier this month, he informed the Eagles of his decision.

The Jacksonville Jaguars selected Jack in the 2016 NFL Draft with the 36th overall pick in the second round out of UCLA.

The 27-year-old was a standout prospect as a Bruin, earning second-team All-Pac-12 in his freshman and sophomore years. Jack was also named the Pac-12 freshman of the year.

In the NFL, he panned himself out a solid career; in 103 games, he recorded three interceptions, one touchdown, 18 passes defended, four fumbles recovered, 6.5 sacks, 617 combo tackles, 18 QB hits, and 22 tackles for loss.

The former Bruin was a former Jaguar, where he spent six seasons and his last season in 2022 with the Pittsburgh Steelers. We wish Jack the best in his next journey and hope to catch him at some UCLA games this season.
