UCLA Football: Insider Moves Bruins Into Top 20 In Fresh Power Rankings
Your UCLA Bruins keep the winning going and teams are being put on notice!
The latest CBS College Football Power Rankings see the Bruins as the biggest upward movers jumping up 4 spots into the 19th spot.
UCLA dominated NC Central on Saturday, winning 59-7. The offense scored 8 touchdowns.
The Bruins continued to dominate on the ground running the ball 39 times for 404 yards, averaging 10.4 yards per carry.
6 of the 8 touchdowns were on the ground as the trenches continued to be a focal point in the team's success.
The defense continued to show out as the whole unit tallied 3 sacks, 7 tackles for loss, and 1 interception.
The Bruins will face their toughest matchup this season in the 11th-ranked Utah who are also 3-0 on the year.
The Bruins are going to rely on the heels of the young quarterback and true freshman, Dante Moore, along with the defensive prowess of Laiatu Latu.
Even with back-to-back impressive starts by Moore, Bruins head coach Chip Kelly still will not publicly commit to Dante Moore as the starting quarterback even though Moore has been the best in that position group.
Laiatu Latu will look to continue his stellar 2023 senior season. The senior leader already has four sacks on the year along with an interception that occurred last game against NC Central, this was Latu's first-ever career interception.
The Bruins are not currently the favorite against Utah but with this being the first Pac-12 matchup for the Bruins, expect them to come out firing on all cylinders.
