First, the headliners got their time in the spotlight in Kansas City. Then, the near-misses came through with contracts of their own.

Now, a few more Bruins have their foot in the door.

Several UCLA football alumni earned invitations to NFL rookie minicamps this week, coming on the heels of the 2023 NFL Draft. Running back Zach Charbonnet was the first Bruin to come off the board, heading to the Seattle Seahawks in the second round, while offensive guard Jon Gaines II went to the Arizona Cardinals in the fourth, quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson went to the Cleveland Browns in the fifth and offensive guard Atonio Mafi went to the New England Patriots later in the fifth round.

The Seahawks scooped up some more Bruins when they signed wide receiver Jake Bobo and defensive back Mo Osling III to undrafted free agent contracts on Saturday. Tight end Michael Ezeike, cornerback Azizi Hearn and wide receiver Kazmeir Allen also inked deals with the Los Angeles Chargers, the Las Vegas Raiders and Washington Commanders, respectively, over the weekend.

As for the rookie minicamp invitees, edge rusher Bo Calvert, safety Stephan Blaylock and long snapper Jack Landherr IV were all asked to join the Denver Broncos. Defensive lineman Jacob Sykes will be joining Charbonnet, Bobo and Osling with the Seahawks, while offensive lineman Raiqwon O'Neal will suit up for the Jacksonville Jaguars and linebacker Shea Pitts is set to join the Tennessee Titans.

All 15 UCLA products who appeared at the school's pro day in March have officially made their way to the NFL, in one way or another.

NFL rookie minicamps will start getting underway on May 6, and the last of them will wrap up by May 15. After that, the six invitees will try to lock down contracts with their new teams so they can keep competing in the Organized Team Activities heading into the summer.

UCLA, meanwhile, will wrap up its five-week spring camp on Friday, still trying to sort out how they will replace the 15 outgoing veterans on the depth chart.
