UCLA Football: Reporter Considers This Element Of Bruins' Offense Biggest Weakness
It's no secret that UCLA football is having problems offensively. Last week against the Utah Utes, the team was only able to muster up one touchdown in the 14-7 loss.
This is not the first time the Bruins have had struggles to score. Earlier in the season, the team had a hard time putting up points against Coastal Carolina.
Although quarterback Dante Moore struggled to get it going against the Utes, the hosts of the Bruin Report Online's weekly podcast explain why he's not the biggest problem in the offense.
The hosts put the blame on the team's offensive line.
"The offensive line right is simply misfiring on many different cylinders," David Woods said, who started the conversation.
The hosts of the podcasts are worried that the Bruins dont have five offensive lineman on the roster that are power five conference caliber.
They were saying how the losses of Jon Gaines and Antonio Mafi are affecting the team big time. Now that both players are int he NFL, the Bruins are struggling with its offensive line for the first time under Chip Kelly.
Through four games, Moore has already been sacked 11 times and has found difficulty having time to throw in the pocket.
If UCLA wants to compete in a competitive Pac-12 this season, they are going to have to figure out its offensive line problems that are currently holding them back.
