UCLA Football: Senior WR Excited About Ceiling For Bruins Offense
With true freshman quarterback Dante Moore now starting, your UCLA Bruins walloped the San Diego State Aztecs 35-10 on the road this past Saturday.
But according to one key Moore target, the program still has a lot of room to grow in the weeks and months ahead.
Reporters caught up with Bruins senior wide receiver Logan Loya after the game, where he detailed why he's bullish on the team's ceiling when it comes to his side of the pigskin. Tracy Pierson of Bruin Report Online was on the scene.
"I'm kind of hard on myself on offense, so I think we can grow a lot. I don't think we played super well, honestly, these past two weeks," Loya revealed. "So we need to grow, we need to get back to practice, work on it. We will be very explosive this year."
The 5'11" Garden Grove native recorded four receptions for a total of 77 yards, averaging 19.3 yards per catch. He scored one touchdown in the effort. Cumulatively through the Bruins' first two contests, he's logged seven receptions and a total of 114 yards (averaging 16.3 per).
Loya's Bruins will next square off against the North Carolina Central Eagles, who share the same 2-0 record, this coming Saturday.
