UCLA Football: Timing Revealed For Week 5 Matchup Against WSU

The Bruins are looking to right the ship after a bye week.

Well, Bruins faithful, we've got an official tailgate tip-off time for you in two weeks.

UCLA's official Twitter/X account reveals that the scheduled TV broadcast time for the program's next football bout, against the 16th-seeded Washington State University Cougars, is set for 12 p.m. PT on October 7th, to be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network.

The Bruins lost their first game under 18-year-old true freshman Dante Moore last Saturday, a 14-7 clunker against the 11th-seeded Utah Utes. Head coach Chip Kelly and his crew will have a bye this weekend to calibrate and retool their offensive attack.

WSU quarterback Caleb Ward has been one of the standout performers of the young 2023 season thus far. The 6'2", 223-pound junior has passed for 1,390 yards (having completed 106-of-142 of his passes) and 13 touchdowns (against no interceptions), with an 86.4 quarterback rating, good for the 10th best in the nation at the position. Accordingly, the Cougars are undefeated to this point in the year.

If you're looking for reasons for optimism heading into the matchup, David Wood of Bruin Report Online opines that Washington State is not at the level of Utah defensively, and may prove to be a less formidable foe for Moore.
