The UCLA Bruins are in the midst of shaping their recruiting class for 2024. Although their current recruiting is ranked 54th in the country, they currently have 11 recruits on board. They're aiming to bolster their ranks as the year progresses. UCLA's efforts garner attention, and a palpable buzz surrounds the program.

One prospect who's captured their interest is Zacharyus Williams, a three-star recruit from Los Angeles. Williams, a standout at Junipero Serra in Gardena, has found himself in the spotlight with an offer from UCLA. Among the 12 offers he's received, the one from UCLA has managed to stand out.

The three-star prospect spoke to UCLA insiders and expressed his gratitude toward the program and what has caught his interest.

“I talk with coach Jerry (Neuheisel) a lot,” Williams said. “I plan to come up there and watch a practice and definitely want to set up an official visit soon.

“We’re talking dates right now and just trying to figure out what works best with my football schedule. I like UCLA a lot, that’s my local school and it meant a lot to get that offer.

Williams is the number 83 wide receiver in his class and is ranked 48th among California players.

Many West Coast teams are on his radar, including UCLA, as they have recognized his talent. He stands at 6'2" and weighs 195 pounds; Williams boasts a formidable physical presence.

UCLA made an offer to Williams in late June, which spoke volumes about their confidence in his abilities. Impressively, Williams didn't fail to make his mark on the Bruins and reciprocated the admiration for the program.

As the recruiting process unfolds, there's an air of excitement – not just around UCLA's pursuit of Williams but also about this talented young athlete's potential for his future endeavors.
