The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs kick off today to finalize the NFL season in Super Bowl LVIII, and your UCLA Bruins will be represented at the game.

Center Jake Brendel for the 49ers is the only member from the Bruins who is on either of the two teams. Kansas City has a practice squad player from UCLA, Matt Dickerson, but no other Bruins players.

Brendal plays a vital role for the 49ers and will be on center stage in this game. He will need to make sure the ball is snapped well enough to San Francisco quarterback Brock Purdy each time, giving him a tough job.

The former UCLA lineman started a school-record 52 games for the program between 2012-2015. He only missed one game during his time with the Bruins and was a second-team All-Pac-12 selection as a redshirt senior in 2015.

He will represent the school well in this game, and it's always nice whenever the Bruins get to shine in the biggest sporting event of the football season.
