It was a game to remember for Bruins fans as two critical cogs of the Browns' offense last night guided Cleveland to a comeback victory in the first preseason game of the 2023 NFL season.

Sharing the backfield with his old college teammate in Dorian Thompson-Robinson, former Bruins running back Demetric Felton was instrumental in Cleveland's victory against the Jets on Thursday.

Felton rushed seven times for a total of 47 yards on the ground and added two nine-yard receptions through the air in what was a dominant display for the former Bruin.

Efficient with the rock all night long, Felton's scamper to paydirt midway through the third helped cut the lead to two in a game that was all Jets up to that point.

The 16-yard score was impressive as the back cut to the outside and sprinted to the end zone off of a block from his former college and current professional teammate.

While Thompson-Robinson rightfully made headlines for his performance, Felton's display should not be ignored in the slightest, as his score helped shift the momentum of the game back into the Browns' favor.

As a Bruin, Felton's best season came in his final year with the blue and gold after averaging 5.4 yards per touch, scoring eight touchdowns, and compiling over 800 scrimmage yards.

Cleveland drafted the back in the 2021 draft with a sixth-round pick, and at the NFL level, Felton has served his role as a complementary back and pass catcher out of the backfield quite well.

His performance in last night's 21-16 win should only help secure his roster spot for the Browns in what could be a remarkable third season for the Dawg Pound should he keep this level of play up.
