UCLA Football: Bruins Campus Plastered With "Fire Chip Kelly" Posters
The anti-Chip Kelly crowd is now seeping into life on campus.
As reported by Daily Bruin editor Benjamin Royer, a plethora of 'Fire Chip Kelly' papers have been posted throughout the campus.
These posters specifically were posted in front of Ackerman Union -- a major building sitting in the heart of campus. It's where students/visitors shop, eat, and hang out. In other words, it's a building virtually everyone sees through a main artery on the university grounds.
Other Twitter users posted images later in the day with similar anti-Chip posters found elsewhere on campus. Among the locations, a cluster of some were seen on the north part of campus in the famous Sculpture Garden.
This is just one example of the many that have given UCLA -- and namely the Athletic Department -- some negative press over the last week. With reports that Kelly will be kept for at least one more season, AD Martin Jarmond (as of Thursday evening) still hasn't made a public statement on Kelly's status despite the outcry for some answers.
Four UCLA players have hit the transfer portal this week, including former 5-star freshman QB Dante Moore. QB Coach Ryan Gunderson is also reportedly being courted to join Oregon State's new staff under Trent Bray.
From there, multiple anti-Chip banners have flown over campus this week voicing their displeasure over Kelly still being the coach. According to LA Times reporter Ben Bolch, it doesn't appear as if those banners will stop anytime soon.
With the transfer portal on the cusp of opening up, it'll be wildly fascinating to follow this program under Kelly's leadership moving forward. At the very least, it should be a wild ride as the Bruins head into the Big Ten next season.
