UCLA Football: Bruins Homecoming Matchup Against Colorado Attracts Full House

Coach Prime is coming to town!

Whenever Coach Prime and the Colorado Buffaloes come to town, the game turns into a spectacle.

Take this year's game between Colorado and UCLA as a perfect example. It's no secret attendance in the Chip Kelly era has been poor, to say the least. This year's UCLA team (4-2) is decent, though it is still not what we could call a contender in the Pac-12.

Ultimately, none of that matters. It's all about PRIME TIME and the popularity centered around Colorado Head Coach Deion Sanders. Say what you will about his tendencies as a coach or how he approaches running his program...but he is a master at getting eyeballs to watch his project.

It was announced Tuesday morning that the contest on Oct. 28 between Colorado and UCLA has been sold out. This is somewhat surprising on the surface, but it makes more sense with some context.

This is UCLA's homecoming contest versus a very winnable opponent. As such, it should be able to draw in several alums in the area. For Colorado fans, they'll be able to hop on a short flight to either LAX or Burbank and make a weekend trip/day trip out of it.

Additionally, there are lots of Colorado alums either living in Los Angeles or hailing from Los Angeles. That aspect alone will be a draw.

From there...there's the 'prime time' element.

The casual fan wants to come out and see Coach Prime in action. This includes watching his son, QB Shedeur Sanders, and the awesome two-way talent that is Travis Hunter. Colorado might not be the best team, but it sure knows how to entertain when it comes to slinging the ball all over the field.

Even more, you can bet a plethora of celebrities and big names will be there in the Rose Bowl for this contest.
