UCLA Football: Bruins Move Up in Latest AP Poll Following Dominating Win
Following the UCLA Bruins dominant win over the Standford Cardinal, 42-7, the Bruins move up two spots from 25 to 23 in the latest AP Poll.
The Bruins deserve the jump in the rankings as they dominated every facet of the game against the Cardinal. They faced a lesser opponent and took advantage of it; they almost doubled the Cardinal in total yards, 503-292, had zero turnovers to committing two, and had 32 first downs compared to Stanford's 15.Â
The Bruins made sure the Cardinal crowd had nothing to cheer for, which was the case from beginning to end.Â
UCLA will look to continue climbing the rankings and is the fifth-highest Pac-12 team ranked, right in front of their cross-town rival, USC Trojans, who sit at 24.Â
Each game moving forward will be pivotal for their chances of competing for a Pac-12 title. So far, they are heading in the right direction, but they cannot afford any more hiccups going forward.Â
The journey continues next week at home against Colorado, and hopefully, they will take care of business to keep their hopes alive.Â
