UCLA Football: Bruins Shatter Multiple Records in Authoritative Win Over N.C. Central
The Pasadena Rose Bowl is used for a number of events... you have numerous concerts that take place there, the monthly flea market attracts quite the crowd but once the UCLA football team kicks off their season, it becomes a stadium like none other.
Fans who attended the Bruins' Saturday afternoon game against N.C. Central got to witness one of the most dominant first halves in the college football scene ever. Dante Moore was granted his second career start at quarterback and even though head coach Chip Kelly refuses to guarantee him the spot moving forward, his impact there is clear.
The freshman star came out of the game in the second quarter and finished off with 182 total yards, eight out of 12 passes completed and two touchdowns. UCLA trounced N.C. Central with a final score of 59-7 and the Bruins did not only use their three main quarterbacks, they used all five on their depth chart as Chase Griffin and Justyn Martin got some run as well.
And with an electric 67-yard bomb for the first touchdown of the game from Moore, the Bruins were able to score 35 points in just the first quarter and make school history.
"Some records were set along the way. UCLA scored its most points in a quarter going back to at least 1958 thanks to its 35-0 lead after the first quarter. That scoring binge earned fans free Fat Sal’s fries as part of a promotion that needlessly gave the Bruins three more quarters to get there."
"The 35-point lead also matched a betting line that severely underestimated the Bruins (3-0), who went unbeaten in nonconference play for a second consecutive season. Things figure to get far more dramatic next weekend when UCLA opens Pac-12 play at No. 12 Utah, the two-time defending conference champions."

It was truly an amazing game to watch and as the Bruins head into week 4 undefeated, they will need to keep this momentum and energy rolling!
