UCLA Football: Bruins Star DL Laiatu Latu Blows Past Defender in Senior Bowl Practice
UCLA superstar edge rusher Laiatu Latu will take his talents to the pro level. After two seasons as a Bruin, Latu will enter the draft as one of the top prospects in the 2024 class and the best prospect in his position.
There's no question he could raise his prospect stock after a monster performance at the Senior Bowl, and he's doing just that.
Check out Latu make a fool out of BYU offensive tackle Kingsley Suamataia.
Latu is a force of nature and was a big reason the UCLA defense was ranked among the top in many significant categories.
The 23-year-old was named a unanimous All-American and won the Ted Hendricks Award, plus the Lombardi Award. He is projected to be selected in the top half of the first round.
Latu has a robust frame with length and athleticism he needs to succeed in his role. He also demonstrates lateral agility and an elusive nature, making it challenging for offensive tackles and guards to block him.
These attributes are a big reason he recorded 21.5 tackles for loss and 13 sacks with the Bruins last season. The clip above is just a glimpse of what he can do at the next level. There's no doubt he will thrive wherever he lands.
