UCLA Football: Dante Moore Has the Full Attention of Oregon State's Head Coach

The Beavers won't be taking the freshman QB lightly

The UCLA Bruins face another tough challenge on the road, and this time, they will be in Corvallis to take on the Oregon State Beavers.

Their first Pac-12 game wasn't ideal when they headed to Salt Lake City, practically for their freshman QB Dante Moore.

Moore struggled mightily at Utah, going 15-for-35 for 234 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. The numbers don't tell the whole story, as it was by far the worst outing in his short career thus far.

On top of that, he hasn't looked impressive since their win against NC Central. Still, Oregon State head coach Jonathan Smith won't overlook the freshman phenom and says he is at the top of the list when examining the Bruins.

“He’s always evolving, but it was comes back to running the ball,” Smith said. “Watching him on tape he’s got new wrinkles each week, they’ve played with pace for years, and he might have been the innovator of going fast. He’s tough, he’s going to gameplan to throw some new wrinkles you haven’t seen and they’re tough to defend.”“He’s got our full attention.”

Moore may not be playing up to par, but you cannot overlook him. He's way too talented to play poorly for multiple weeks in a row. The defnese will do their thing to contain the high-powered Orteogn State offense; however, Moore may be the difference maker to take the Bruins over the top in Week 7.

Will we see Week 1-3 Dante Moore or the Moore from Week four and six? We will find out soon enough, Bruin fans.
