UCLA Football: Familiar Face To Be The Signal Caller Against Stanford
According to multiple sources, the UCLA Bruins will be going with junior QB Ethan Garbers under center tonight against the Stanford Cardinal.
Garbers earned the starting role to start the season and has played in four games since losing the job to freshman QB Dante Moore.
However, due to Moore's turnovers and his poor play, Kelly felt like it was time for a change, and he didn't hesitate.
Through the 2023 season thus far, Garbers has thrown for 134 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions, and a QBR of 21.1. He's completed 11 of 18 passes, completed 61.1% of his passes, and has a rating of 119.8.
Moore has been quite disappointing for the Bruins after a good early start to the season. Now, he will serve in the backup role once again, and hopefully, he will be better when his number is called again, whether it's this year or next.
We'll see if the offense looks a bit more fluid tonight while the defense keeps doing its job and wreaking havoc.
Kick-off is set for 7:30 pm PT, airing on ESPN.
