The UCLA Bruins are heading into a big 2023 season. Many of their veterans, including their starting quarterback from the past five seasons, Dorian Thompson Robinson, is gone, meaning the Bruins will be heading in a different direction.

This is new territory for the Bruins, as they will enter a new era of UCLA football. With a new era come new players that the fanbase and team are looking forward to, one of which includes their five-star freshman quarterback Dante Moore.

Moore will be making his way from the Midwest to the west coast in hopes of bringing UCLA to glory. If Moore ends up being the QB1, a lot of eyes will be on him to lead the Bruins to the top spot of the Pac-12.

With that comes expectations, and Moore will need some broad shoulders to carry those expectations. Senior national football reporter from On3, Matt Zenitz, predicted 11 Pac-12 freshmen who will play big factors in 2023 and listed Moore as a part of that group.

Although it sounds like 2022 UCLA backup Ethan Garbers is the current favorite to open the year as the Bruins’ starting QB, don’t be shocked if Moore ends up starting at some point this season, even if it doesn’t end up being Week 1.

Moore had a “very strong” first spring with UCLA.

He has been described to On3 as special and advanced in terms of how he carries himself, his poise, his decision-making and just “knowing how to play the quarterback position.”

It's clear that Moore has displayed all the tools it takes to be the starter for the Bruins this fall.

The five-star QB was built for this as he established himself as the number two quarterback in his class and the number three overall prospect. He's been scouted for a long-time, well before even playing varsity football, and will now have the chance to start for the Bruins.

All signs point to Moore; if he does, watch out for him to lead his team to great success.
