Your UCLA Bruins are entering their final season as members of the PAC-12 Conference. They will depart to the Big 10 in 2024; however, they would love to make a lasting impression in the Pac-12.

The Pac-12 has never been known as a gauntlet of a conference compared to the others in the country, but it hopes to change that this season. They have the talent to make it happen with schools like Washington, Oregon, Utah, and USC.

All four will be in the running for the PAC-12 title; however, you can’t count out the Bruins, at least according to former college football champion QB Greg McElroy. McElroy believes that UCLA is the most overlooked team in the conference and that teams should watch out for them.

“I think UCLA, pretty good pieces on both sides of the ball, the one question mark being the offensive line, but with the scheme they run, I think that group has a chance to be very good,” he said

McElroy also pointed out that even though he’s a believer, he questions the quarterback position. As we know by now, the quarterback position for the Bruins is currently up in the air. Even though all signs point to freshman Dante Moore, he’s still only a freshman. That’s a ton of responsibility to garner as a first-year player.

Still, behind head coach Chip Kelly, UCLA will be ready to put points on the board and compete with the best the conference offers. Time will tell how ready UCLA will be to be considered the best or one of the best in the conference.
