A top high school recruiting committing to a school is by far one of the best days of their lives. Some go all out, and some keep it lowkey and celebrate this monumental moment with family and close friends.

It's also a great day for the school, who put in the work to be able to land a top prospect. Although it's all fine and dandy, it's never set in stone until the player is actually on campus, suiting up for the school.

That happened to be the case with four-star QB from Arizona Desmond Williams. Williams is a part of the class of 2024 and initially committed to the University of Ole Miss. However, he recently de-committed from Ole Miss after being committed to the Rebels for six months.

He is now back on the market, and many teams are garnering his attention, including your UCLA Bruins. 247Sports columnist Blair Angulo mentioned keeping an eye on the Bruins to be able to snag Williams.

UCLA is another school to monitor closely. The Bruins probably finished second to the Rebels when Williams made his initial decision on Dec. 30 of last year. Sources have suggested that there has been recent communication between the two parties.

Angulo also mentioned that Willaims is enamored with Chip Kelly's offense and how Dorian Thompson Robinson flourished in it .

A person with knowledge of the recruitment said that Williams has always been attracted to Chip Kelly’s offense, particularly given the effectiveness of

Dorian Thompson-Robinson

the last few years. If the Bruins push to get Williams back on campus we’d be inclined to think that trip happens. After landing five-star Dante Moore in the 2023 class, UCLA has seen a number of its targets this cycle commit elsewhere.

It's going to be tough to take him away from his home college of Arizona, but things seem to be on UCLA's side, and we'll keep a close eye on his decision.
