Your UCLA Bruins are continuing to add to their 2024 class, and they added a good one on Sunday. St. John Bosco running back and three-star recruit Cameron Jones announced he will be committing to UCLA.

Jones did it in a big way, honoring his father by going live to announce his decision at a local Los Angeles cemetery. Jones's father passed away a couple of years ago, and he wanted to announce it on his birthday, July 2nd.

“Today is my dad’s birthday,” Jones said. “He passed away three years ago, and it was always his dream for me to go college and play football at the Power 5 level."

If you missed it, take a look at Jones revealing his choice.

Jones had five teams on his list, including two other Paq-12 teams, the California Golden Bears and the Arizona State Sun Devils. UCLA was the clear and obvious choice for Cameron, as he said they were the most persistent.

“Coach Foster hits me up every day,” Jones said. “He hits me up just to check in on me, see how I’m doing. I had a surgery earlier and he was always checking to see how I was feeling and to encourage me.

He’s a great coach and does a great job developing backs. Every back he has at UCLA goes to the League (NFL) and that’s obviously my goal too so I’m very excited to play for him."

Jones is a big, tough back standing at 6'1", 215 pounds, who is coming off a sensational junior season, finishing with 18 touchdowns and 1,046 yards, and helped lead his team to a 13-1 record and a CIF Open Division Championship.

He'll look for the same type of team and individual success at UCLA.
